Commensality Press

Practical wisdom for adventurous women living with dysphagia and the clinicians who care for them.

Where lived experience, food culture, and walking the world meet.

Our Purpose

At Commensality Press, we create resources that help women keep living fully - even when eating gets complicated. We publish lived-experience insights, practical guides, and educational tools that empower people with dysphagia to eat well, move freely, and continue exploring the world.

We also provide clinicians with professional resources and training, giving them the insight they need to understand and support these patients with confidence and empathy.

Who We Serve

For Adventurous Eaters

Women navigating dysphagia who want to keep exploring, eating well, and living life on their own terms. We focus on practical guidance, realistic solutions, and the small but meaningful strategies that make everyday adventure possible.

For Clinicians

Speech pathologists, dietitians, and healthcare teams seeking deeper understanding of the lived experience of dysphagia. Our resources and training help professionals connect with patients, improve care, and gain insights that textbooks alone cannot provide.
